If crappies aren't your cup of tea, the White Bass are on the spring run in the Rock River. Lots and lots of them are moving up from the lake towards the dam.
Some spots to try are at the Jefferson Dam, Near the "star pole", at the mouth of the Bark River, along the wall in Fort Atkinson and near the rapids behind the Edgewater. (Lots of these can be fished from shore as well.)
I'll be in the shop saturday afternoon if you're heading out. Drop by and I can show you my secret whitebass river rig. (Or you can read about it on the guide blog)
