Our Big Bass League kicks off tonight.
With the stable, warm weather the last couple of days, a front on the way in later tonight and the fish moving into the shallows, it should be one of the best nights of the year for big fish.
I predict that the winner tonight will have a fish weighing more than 4.5 pounds and you'll need to be above 4lbs to finish in the top three.
I've fallen down on the first week the last couple years, but I'm predicting (hoping for) a big comeback this year. My goal is to fish every week and to finish with 25 points this season. Its ambitious, but I want to push myself a little.
My plan for tonight is to stick to a small area where I know there are some fish holding and work it slowly until dark, then move to a rocky staging point and pitch a big plastic lizard until time wraps up.
