Keep it up...

Although the temps have cooled off, the fishing patterns remain much the same.

Bass can be targeted shallow (piers and slop especially) or deep (points or rocky drops). Topwaters are good first thing in the morning, with wacky rigs, skirted grubs and tubes taking fish the remainder of the day.

Musky have been somewhere between ice cold and raging hot depending on the day. Some fish are using the weed-edges and sharp drops, another batch of fish is relating to the thermocline. Trolling daytime, with topwaters early and late in the day seem to be the most consistent patterns.

Northerns: small fish can always be caught in shallow weeds, bigger fish are on the deepest weed edges. Use spinners for action, live bait for trophies.

Walleye: not much to report. Anglers are taking quality fish off structure in the 22-27 feet range (ie the thermocline) by trolling cranks and live bait. Slip bobbers over deep weeds with live bait has always been producing, again in the 20+ foot range. Best bet: look for weeds with baitfish nearby.

Panfish: look for them to remain suspended over deeper water, especially along sharp breaks in the weedline.
