What's happening...

Shallow bays look to be nice and iced up, but I'd steer clear of the deeper water for just a bit longer.

Pike seem to be hitting shiners on tip ups, panfish seems to be chasing waxies and small minnows on jigs. No big surprises there.

Panfish will relate to any green weeds they can find in shallow water. Also channel edges and submerged wood will hold fish this time of year.

It looks like Eric is going to be taking over the primary blogging duties here. I'll be moving back to my little corner of cyberspace at www.sewifishingreport@blogspot.com. There's a link to the left. I'll pop in here from time to time as well.

There's some great deals at the shop if you need a gift for that fisherman in your life.

We have Figrig musky rods on sale, plus they come with a free baitcasting reel. Its a great combo, and will make an impressive gift. If you're looking for something more stocking-stuffer esque, we also have Mike-o kits. Mike-o's are our special brand/colors of wacky worms. They come 50 to box, and come in a nice plano 3600 tackle tray. There's also gift certifcates available good for product in the shop or for guide trips.

Stop in. We're fully stocked with gear for the open and hard water seasons.

Cheers
CT
