Fishing: there's plenty going on.

If you're not quite ready to hang up your rods for the duck-plugged shotgun or your bow and tree stand, you could get into some serious fishing right now.

Walleyes have been active on most area lakes. Look for the fish along the inside weed edges in 8-12 feet of water. This is prime time for working big rapalas and other stickbaits over the top of weeds.

The white bass run is also happening. The fox river in oshkosh and the rock river near blackhawk island have been giving up some quality coolers full of whites.

Pike are active along shallow weed edges and isolated clumps. As usual, spinners and live bait will take the majority of these fish, but anglers targeting muskies are also catching them.

Musky fishing has been great with the relatively stable weather. Stop in at the shop an Eric can point you in the right direction.

Good Luck Out There,
CT
