Update on River Conditions

Here's the latest information we have:

Rock River: Sections are open and are being fished from shore and from the boat. The water is still very cold, and large ice flows are a problem. The water is very high, and anglers need to be prepared for changing conditions.

Dells Area: This area remains active, with lots of legal sized fish being caught. Drfiting with Lindy rigs appears to be catching fish as the fishing pressure increases.

DePere: The voyager park area is open and anglers are reporting catching fish. Some fish over 25+ inches are being taken, especially after dark on big jerkbaits. Expect a big crowd the next couple weekends.

Oshkosh: the River is open from the Pioneer inn to the 41 bridge, but some of the launches still have ice around them, notably rainbow park by the 21 bridge. Anglers are just starting to catch fish.

Winnecone: Ice is still reported by the launches, bu the river itself is open and being fished from the bridge.

Updates will continue as they come in to us. Be careful of the river and other anglers. High water years usually mean good fishing conditions, and I think this year could be something special.
