Fishing Report 6-13-09

Well gang. They call it fishing for a reason. There's lots of fishing going on but the catching part has been pretty tough. Pike fishing has been the most consistent.

Panfish are on the beds on most area lakes. Look for bigger panfish in 8 to 15 feet of water.

Bass fishing has been slow. Some anglers are doing pretty well with crankbaits, spinnerbaits or texas rigs in 8-12 feet of water. Look for weeds along points and drops and work those areas.

Muskie fishing has been very good. A few anglers are starting to troll, but working the weedlines has still been producing fish. Okauchee, Pewaukee, and Oconomowoc lakes have all been very consistent.

Live bait is recommended for pike, bass, walleye and panfish. Slow and steady wins the race.

Good Luck
