Crappies on the bite/walleyes on the run!

Gamefish season is closed, but late ice crappies are on the bite. A bunch of very nice crappies are being taken by anglers on Lake Five.

Walleye runs have started. There's already a batch of fish being caught in the Dells, and open water is just around the corner for the Rock River.

All reports place the flows as very strong, with high water conditions. Bring some heavier jigs, lindy weights and bottom bouncers. Don't forget the three way rigs and stinger hooks.

Here's one from me. I like to run my three way rigs with a red treble. A number 8 or 10 sized treble on a three way usually gets them, regardless of how short they are biting.

Eric's going to setup a rack with all your river needs this week. if you have additional questions about river fishing this time of year, email me or call the shop.
